Puting Buhangin – Cristine Sison Canlas

“Puting Buhangin” means “white sand” in English. Tourists flocked to white sand beaches, like in the Philippines, every summer. If a beach has white sand it looks clean and serene. However, due to many visitors in these islands, garbage are sometimes also piling up especially if there are no maintenance people in the area. Hopefully, we will take care our nature by doing Claygo or “Clean as you Go”. Cristine’s painting of white sand, depicts the cleanliness of the sand and the blue sea water hoping it will stay as clean as it is.

Cristine Sison Canlas is an impressionist painter. This is one of her works.
